Around The Grid: Cheech’s Weekly Picks – Week 3

image

NFL: AFC - NFC

My week 3 picks are in Bolt Addicts.

DET (1-1)  @  TEN (0-2)  10:00 AM FOX

Detroit is the obvious pick here. The Titans could stand a chance but even if Chris Johnson had his break out performance of the year, it would be tough to do it against this Lions’ defensive line.

TB (1-1)   @   DAL (1-1)  10:00 AM FOX

Tampa Bay is my pick over Dallas. I know I should stick with Romo knowing the Cowboys have a good squad this year, but Freeman has the ability to create something outside of the pocket and has a strong arm even when being pursued. This will not be a pretty game but Tampa will take it.

SF (2-0)  @  MIN (1-1)  10:00 AM FOX

San Francisco will be the aggressor the whole game. I don’t see any major reason for The Likes walk away with this game. The defense is great, Alex Smith (as average as I know he is) is playing the best football as of late along with Vernon Davis. Frank Gore bulldozing through d-lines will prove to be too much for Minnesota.

BUF (1-1) @ CLE (0-2) 10:00 AM CBS

Im siding with Cleveland on this one. I’m hoping on finally watching Weeden come up with a win. Unfortunately, Buffalo might be too much on offense. I think this game might be the least interesting one to watch.

STL (1-1) @ CHI (1-1) 10:00 AM FOX

My pick is Chicago in this match up. Even though it seems at times that Jay Cutler couldn’t get any worse, his true talent shows up in small bursts and that could be the difference. Bradford still seems like he has more to improve on (Timing/Sync with WR’s)

KC (0-2) @ NO (0-2) 10:00 AM CBS

New Orleans will come out with something to prove this Sunday. They will take their first win against the Chiefs and they’ll be happy with that. It’s obvious that locker room has changed and they miss their coach. Both teams have tons of issues which makes this game an even match up in my opinion. Both teams need a BIG 1st win.

NYJ (1-1) @ MIA (1-1)

I’m actually going with Miami. They have shown heart after a BIG win over Oakland. This will be a tough game three with their bitter rivals the Jets. These divisional games always have an extra bit of intensity. Don’t think either team has an advantage over the other. Look for Reggie Bush to gain momentum as an every down back. I expect a BIG game from him.

CIN (1-1) @ WAS (1-1) 10: 00 AM CBS

Washington is my pick for the simple fact that the young RGIII has impressed everyone and could see him breaking this game wide up. Andy Dalton has all the skills necessary to beat Griffin except for a supporting cast. Look for this to be a high scoring game. But Washington will pull this one off.

JAC (0-2) @ IND (1-1) 10:00 AM CBS

I would like to see the Jags get their first win but as good as Andrew Luck has been playing I doubt we will see an upset in Indianapolis. Looks like this game will be dominated by the Colts from beginning to end. Basically target practice for Andrew Luck.

PHI (2-0) @ AZ (2-0) 1:05 PM FOX

Arizona. This game is one of the games of the week. A clash between two undefeated teams in the NFC and might be worth watching. The Eagles seem to be winning ugly with improbable win over the Patriots last week. I believe they will be biggest competition the Eagles have faced. But in the end I think Skelton leads his Cardinals on a comeback win.

ATL (2-0) @ SD (2-0) 1:05 PM FOX

My pick is the Chargers. This would be the second game to watch. These two teams have been playing great football for the past two weeks. This game could be won with one or two great defensive stops. This will be a high scoring game. I see a great shoot-out coming soon and I wouldn’t miss it for the world. The team with the best running game could change the outcome as well.

HOU (2-0) @ DEN (1-1) 1:25 PM CBS

Texans should win this match up against Denver. Even though Peyton Manning is on the field, I see the Texans taking this game. A great running game mixed with great defense should form a good game against Manning and the Broncos. It will be close but I rather have the Texans at 3-0 than for the Broncos to have another win on their record.

PIT (1-1) @ OAK (0-2) 1:25 PM CBS

This is a no brainer. Big Ben will demolish the pirated freaks to leave them 0-3. Even though the Pittsburgh’s offensive line seems to be struggling, The Raiders’ defense brings nothing to the table. Their running game was hyped up and so far it’s been stagnant. Steelers by a lot.

Sunday Night Football

NE (1-1) @ BAL (1-1) 5:20 PM

Baltimore has shown a high caliber offense and will come out with all the confidence in the world playing Sunday Night Football. This will be an entertaining game with two teams that can put numbers up quick. But I have to go with this classic defensive core of the Ravens and playing at home will be huge for them. Brady will be on his back all night.

Monday Night Football

GB (1-1) @ SEA (1-1) 5:30 PM ESPN

Green Bay should win this match up on Monday Night. After the troubles we have seen Aaron Rodgers go through, he isn’t done yet. He will be back to his usual touchdown scoring self and all will be fine for Packers fans. I don’t think the Seahawks will be over powering this stout defense. The more physical team will win this game.

Thanks, Bolt Nation for the continuous support. Please let me know your thoughts on this week’s picks and any other articles from RockTheBolts.com and its staff.
