Chargers (0-0) VS. Raiders (0-0)
Mon. 9/19 @ 7:15 pm
O.co Coliseum (Oakland ,CA)
MNF on ESPN/Channel 10 (San Diego)
Well Chargers fans, the time is here and the major question this week from me is, “How will San Diego begin its season?” Will they give the fans their usual slow start or will they go into the black hole and start this season off with a big division win?
A win on Monday Night by San Diego is a must in every Charger fans’ mind. Although, nothing is more intense than rivalry games in hostile territory, this could be a tough one for the Bolts. Unfortunately, the Chargers have created a stigma about themselves with their slow starts and awesome late season runs. Will we see that this year? The whole Rivers Interception concerns and Left Tackle situation also has me thinking we could start to get force fed those “It’s only The First Game” excuses if Oakland come out on top. Followed by the all too familiar, “Fire Norv” chants.
This will be a huge test for San Diego in week one going up against this Raiders team. They must show dominance early to take control of AFC West. We will get to see how our defense holds up against what could be one of the most dynamic running backs in the league, Darren McFadden. The first week is tough to figure out and it will come down to who has the better game plan. The only thing we can ask of our team is that they get out on the field and give 100% on every play. We ask them to fear no evil, although evil seems to be the theme in Oakland. The first week has more questions than this one in particular. Like, will Ingram live up to his hype or will Harris be able to handle the task of protecting Rivers’ blind side? But at the end of tomorrow, we will be looking at the wins and losses columns, celebrating or wondering what happened.
Chargers fans, let me how do you think the Chargers will start their season. Slow or back to their winning ways? Let us hear your thoughts. Remember these are all questions for you to get involved with RockTheBolt.com, its staff and its readers. Let your voice be heard.
