Once again it seems as though more bolts are becoming familiar with the Reserve-Injury list. It is not an overall shock when the Chargers placed Bob Sanders on the IR. Chargers placed safety Bob Sanders on IR Wednesday afternoon and signed Tommie Harris to a one year contract soon after. Last Sunday’s game against the Chiefs, Steve Gregory stepped up and filled in for Sanders while he suffered swelling in the knee.
Bob Sanders was drafted by and played with the Indianapolis Colts for seven seasons, but during this year’s offseason Chargers signed Sanders with hopes of having him make an impact on the field.
Although Sanders’ placement on IR did not stun many people, it appears that the short timer has taken his final step on Chargers territory. Now Bolt Nation will just have to see someone else take the field and hope that he’ll be a better fit with the team.
